Our activity will be the last foldable in our 2021 Fabulous Foldable Series. Laurel Herbeck will demonstrate how to create a model of a Gallery Book.

We will make a small (3.5×5”) book with caterpillar stitch binding. While this stitch is uniquely decorative, it also binds the text block and covers together to create the book.

By simply folding, pleating, and cutting, the structure featured at this program meeting presents a folding technique that transforms your paper into something new and often surprising. NBG Workshop Series on Zoom: Book Arts Basics
Book Arts Basics – Series 1 begins at the end of February and will consist of three classes: The Tools, The Paper and Folded Books. These classes will provide the opportunity to create sample books while learning foundational bookmaking skills.
