Program Meeting
Sunday, January 26    1-3pm
NBG Studio

Introducing Two New Projects:
THE SET BOOK
and
THE CHAPBOOK
with Bruce Campbell, Susan Campbell and Margo Klass

NBG is launching two new projects at this program meeting. Each project guides participating members to meet challenges that encompass a range of bookmaking activities, from writing and layout design to letterpress printing and bookbinding:
  • In partnership with the University of Alaska Press the Set Book Project challenges Guild members to create artist bindings for one of four books of poetry by Alaskan poets.
  • The Chapbook Project invites writers and book artists, working alone or in collaboration, to write, design, print, and bind an edition of chapbooks.
Come to the meeting to learn much more about these projects! As part of our discussion about chapbooks we will make a model that will be useful for any paginated book project that incorporates sequenced text or images.
Please bring: small cutting mat, bone folder, large (thick) awl, scissors
 **No Book Exchange this meeting!**
The Book Exchange will take on a new format for 2020! Come to the meeting to learn about the new challenge to create an artist book in response to set themes throughout the year.
