Join Mary Maisch and fellow Guilders for an afternoon of outdoor painting using Liquitex acrylic spray paints and botanical specimens to create beautiful art papers for use in all your book-making projects. You will also make a fine folder from one of your painted papers. Register for the June 6, noon to 4:00pm class at The Folk School Fairbanks. Enrollment is limited to 10 adults. Strathmore paper and paints will be provided, and participants should bring a cutting mat, x-acto knife, bone folder, 18-24″ ruler, and MacTac. MacTac is available for purchase at the studio before the beginning of class. OPTIONAL items to bring include a variety of papers of your own that you’d like to paint, one or two cans of Liquitex spray acrylic in your favorite colors (available at Michaels), extra spray nibs, stencils, and a wide brush. Steel measuring rods are also useful, if you have them.
