Sunday, January 31 / 12 – 4pm This class is the second in a series of 3 Letterpress classes. It is a prerequisite for Letterpress III. In this class, students will build on the basic skills they learned in Letterpress I while they independently set a full alphabet of one of the type cases. Sunday, January 24 / 12 – 4pm This class is the first in a series of 3 Letterpress classes. It is a prerequisite for Letterpress II. Letterpress I is an overview of basic letterpress skills including the history and nomenclature of the Kelsey Press. Students will have hands-on experience setting & spacing type in a composing stick. Together, students will compose and prepare one “chase” of type and everyone will get to operate the Kelsey Press.
